Registering your non-Canadian company as a branch can be done in the province of Ontario. This type of registration will provide your company with a license that gives your non-resident company the rights to open an office and/or bank account in Ontario. Such registration does not create a new separate legal entity in Canada. Our company is able to offer this type of registration to Corporations as well as LLC's registered outside of Canada.
The registration time frame is typically 3 to 4 weeks for a corporation and 3 to 4 business days for an LLC.
If your corporation was registered outside of Canada, a NUANS report will be required as the name must be available in Ontario. This report will be included in our registration fee. The report reserves your name for 90 days and within 90 days the application for the license will be submitted by our company.
LLC’s will not be required to obtain a NUANS report for EPC registration.
The corporate income tax rate in Ontario is 26.5% and is applicable for all income received in Canada. If your company does not operate in Ontario or conduct business in Canada, it would not have tax requirements to report in Canada.
If business is being conducted in Canada a corporate tax return would need to be filed annually and is due 6 months prior to the corporate fiscal year end. Our company offers accounting services if you require assistance with filing the annual tax return.
Our company collects an annual renewal fee of $999 one year after the registration date, which includes the renewal of the agent of service along with the registered office address for the year. An agent of services is required for an EPC in Ontario.
Our one time formation fee includes the agent of service, registered office address, and records office in Ontario for one year. If you require mail forwarding services for your bank, suppliers, or clients, please order virtual office services in our order form. Our company will be able to provide you a scan of the mail received at the address provided.
